Description
This product together with L1A2 and L2A2 detonators, ISFE, and the L10A1 det cord booster, form a versatile range of initiating accessories. It is waterproof but care should be taken to keep the ends dry by using the sealing sleeves provided. It is particularly important to ensure that the initiated end is dry. Once initiated L5A1 will continue to propagate along wet lengths. It is good practice to initiate the cord 2 metres from the end in case moisture has penetrated the cord. Use the junction clips provided to connect branch lines for multiple charges. Each reel contains 70 metres . To make joins in the field, overlap the cord at least 50mm and bind with tape. In case of misfires do not re-enter the area for 5 minutes (electric firing) or for 30 minutes (safety fuse initiation).
