Quality Standards

ISO9001:2000

The new quality system, although currently meeting the needs of ISO9001:2000, incorporates modules that conform to the highest expectations of any industry, for example:

The 8-D approach to problem solving and 5S principles of Housekeeping.
With these and other new processes to be implemented during 2008 and first quarter 2009, we will ensure our process orientated approach to manufacturing, will maintain a good Customer focus, and exceed their expectations for product, quality, reliability and performance.

Planning:
For the planning of Quality and Health & Safety we are using the P.D.C.A. - Plan, Do, Check, Act - Method for managing these systems, identifying key processes that require improvement or changes, staff responsible and time scales for completion of these activities.

Improvement:
To ensure we continually improve the processes identified in the P.D.C.A, we have adopted QOS Methodology for the monitoring and improvement of “key” Business measurables.

OHSAS 18001:
The site at Poole in Dorset has certification for 18001 and during the first quarter of 2009, the site in Norfolk, will be planning implementation, with certification expected during July 2009. This is to further ensure we have safe systems of work, across our sites and product range.
